As requested by the members of the public in attendance at the 3/4/14 Board of Directors meeting, the board has agreed to have the General Manager host a one time public tour of the Magma Flood Retarding Structure (the “Dam”) on Wednesday, April 30th at 9:00am.
Anyone interested in participating in the tour of the Dam will need to meet at 9:00am at the AMEC Job site/construction trailer (14988 E. Arizona Farms Rd., Florence, AZ)–the entrance to which is located on the north side of Arizona Farms Rd. approximately 100 yards east of the dairy’s eastern boundary. Additionally, all tour participants will be required to fill-out and sign the attached agreement.

Please remember to be prepared for the desert environment (i.e. hat, sunscreen, water).
The tour will begin promptly after the General Manger has ensured that the District has obtained agreements from each of the tour participants and is likely to last approximately 90 minutes. Unfortunately we do not have the resources and staff needed to accommodate those who are late. If you wish to participate, please be on time.
Please RSVP your attendance and/or the number of people that will be in your party so the District can plan appropriately. Please e-mail your RSVP via the “question/request” section of the “Contact Us” web page on the District’s Website.
